South East Water has been delivering quality, authentic learning experiences for many years and has a dedicated team of educators supporting the program.

Our staff

Sharon Isbell, our Education Assistant, is a primary teacher with studies in environmental management.

The South East Water Education Team looks forward to working with your school in 2011 on extending and expanding your students’ knowledge of understanding our natural resource - water.

Pedagogy

The South East Water education program provides authentic learning, using real and relevant examples, students’ prior experiences, needs, interests and concerns.  The educational experiences we provide aims to allow students’ to problem-solve from their direct experiences, while empowering them to take action and make attitudinal and behavioural changes to ensure a sustainable world for future generations.

When thinking about current and future water issues and possible solutions, we hope students involved in our programs think more holistically about the ‘bigger picture’.  We also hope that they become ‘ambassadors’ within their families and local communities, setting a good example through their own attitudes and behaviour.
