Early Childhood Education
At South East Water, we understand kindergartens plays an important role in the early development and shaping of children’s attitudes and behaviours. That’s why it’s the perfect environment in which to educate children on the value of water and encourage them to adopt water conservation behaviours early in life.

In term four 2009, South East Water trialled an early childhood water conservation education program to support educators like you, in communicating this important message to our future generations.

Delivered by a trained early childhood educator, the program utilised age relevant techniques such as story-telling, movement and song. During the trial we visited 39 early childhood centres and saw over 1200 children.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the program and provided us with their feedback.

We are currently evaluating the program with the aim of deciding whether it will continue later in 2010.  In the meantime, we are more than happy to send you a small pack of resources to use in your centre.

If you would like to be sent a pack, please contact Pen Lynchon 9552 3682 or email your address details to education@sewl.com.au.
